Coach Stores: What to Know at Flagship Locations and Shops

Tapestry’s annual report states that Coach finished its 2026 fiscal year, on 27 June 2026, with 973 directly operated stores. Of those stores, 336 sit in North America and 637 are international. Another figure that circulates, about 1,299 stores, relates to all of Tapestry’s brands combined, not to Coach by itself. For the year ahead, Tapestry has reportedly indicated that around 50 net new Coach stores are pencilled in for fiscal 2027, with roughly three quarters of them outside North America. The network takes in flagship Coach House locations, regular full-price boutiques, concessions inside department stores and Coach Outlet stores. Someone looking for a coach store could as a result find anything from a multi-floor flagship to a unit in an outlet village. This guide goes city by city through the best-documented locations and flags where a store’s current status still needs checking.

New York: The Coach House on Fifth Avenue

New York, where Coach was established in 1941, is home to the brand’s most famous flagship. Unveiled in the fall of 2016, the Coach House at 685 Fifth Avenue celebrated the brand’s 75th anniversary. Coverage described it as about 20,000 square feet across three floors, with a design developed with William Sofield’s Studio Sofield. That address is not a permanent home, however, because Coach has reportedly leased about 13,200 square feet at 645 Fifth Avenue for a new Coach House. The planned move is targeted for 2027, and David Yurman is reported to have signed a lease for the 685 Fifth Avenue space, with an opening expected in early 2029. Whether the current store is still trading on a given day has not been www.couch-bag.com confirmed, so look at Coach’s store locator before making a special trip. There is also a Coach store at 20 Hudson Yards in the locator listings, close to Tapestry’s headquarters at 10 Hudson Yards.

London: The Coach House on Regent Street

Launched in 2016 as a global concept store, London’s Coach House stands at 200–206 Regent Street. Like the New York flagship, it was designed with Studio Sofield, which explains the family resemblance between them. Coverage at the time described a Craftsmanship Bar for monograms and personalisation. There were also reports of a Made to Order bar for the Rogue bag. Made-to-order Rogue pieces reportedly require around 12 weeks, rising to about 16 weeks with exotic skins. Beware of the wrong opening year: one retail-district listing shows a much later page date, and some writers have been misled by it. Tapestry said on its August 2026 earnings call, according to a published transcript, that the UK, plus some wholesale business, is the only part of Europe where Coach has a material presence. Anyone planning a personalisation appointment should confirm which services are currently offered before visiting.

Tokyo and Ginza

Coach’s Japanese flagship is found in Tokyo’s Ginza district. Coach opened its first Japanese flagship there in 2002 and updated the store in 2015. It reopened on 19 December 2025 after a redesign by the studio CURIOSITY, according to reports on the relaunch. Some Japanese stores reportedly participate in the Coach (Re)Loved trade-in exchange, making Japan relevant for services as well. That scheme reportedly welcomes gently worn all-leather retail bags while excluding outlet items and canvas pieces. Check with the store before taking a bag in, since the Japanese stores involved could not be confirmed. As with every flagship in this guide, hours and services are best checked shortly before a visit.

Hong Kong, Chongqing and an Outdated Shanghai Record in Greater China

Compared with New York or London, Coach’s large stores in Greater China are less well documented. According to a record that is now dated, a flagship of about 7,000 square feet opened on Huai Hai Middle Road in Shanghai in April 2010. Nobody could verify its current status, so the Shanghai store should not be taken to be open today. A global flagship in Hong Kong and a two-storey glass flagship in Chongqing are also reported to be run by Coach. Opening dates for those two stores could not be verified either. Of Coach’s 973 directly operated stores, 637 are international, but the annual report does not break that figure down city by city. Old press material is less reliable than Coach’s local store locator, so travellers should use the locator when planning a visit.

Boutiques and Concessions in Britain

Coach’s UK store locator also lists full-price stores away from Regent Street, with branches at Westfield London in White City and at Westfield Stratford City. St Pancras and the Promenade Level at Canary Wharf add to the London locations. The listed full-price store outside London is at the Bullring in Birmingham. Coach also operates through concessions inside Harrods in Knightsbridge and Selfridges on Oxford Street, where a Coach Playground space has been promoted. No confirmed store was found in Manchester, Edinburgh or further cities, so double-check before assuming a local branch exists. For anyone searching coach uk locations, this list includes the documented full-price options at the time of writing. The UK version of Coach’s website provides each listed store its own page, which makes it the most reliable place to confirm hours and services.

Shopping at Coach Outlet Stores

Far from being independent discounters, Coach Outlet stores belong to Coach’s own network, and Coach identifies them as outlets in its store locator. They usually are found in outlet centres, and Coach has reportedly opened Coach Coffee Shop concepts at Jersey Gardens and Woodbury Common in the United States. In the UK, Coach Outlet stores are confirmed to trade at Bicester Village, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and Ashford Designer Outlet. A store at York Designer Outlet has been reported but not confirmed, so confirm before travelling there. Part of the outlet stock is made for the outlet channel; however, the only share figure available, around 85%, dates from 2014, which leaves today’s mix unknown. Under the reported “One Coach” strategy, the ranges on offer also include some full-price collection product, alongside earlier-season styles. As promotions change and coupon-site sale calendars could not be verified, look up current offers before setting out on a coach outlet trip.

What You Will Find Inside a Coach Store

Inside a full-price coach store, the emphasis is the current range of handbags, with small leather goods, clothing and shoes alongside. The bag families shoppers will recognise in 2026 include the Tabby (launched in 2019), the Brooklyn (launched in August 2024) and the Empire Carryall (released in February 2025). Observed US prices put a Tabby 26 at $475 and an Empire Carryall 34 at $450, but these are prices observed in the market rather than an official price list. Some stores also participate in the (Re)Loved trade-in, which runs in North America retail stores plus select UK and Japan stores. One membership spans both formats, since Coach Insider, the free loyalty programme, reportedly covers both Coach and Coach Outlet. Since Coach says it does not authenticate merchandise, a receipt from a Coach store offers helpful evidence of where a coach bag came from. Creative direction comes from Stuart Vevers, whose appointment was announced in June 2013 and who remains Creative Director in 2026.

How to Plan a Visit

A little preparation prevents wasted journeys, especially while the New York flagship prepares to move. Coach’s store locator for the country you are visiting is the ideal starting point, because it keeps full-price stores apart from Coach Outlet locations. If you are hoping for a trade-in, make sure that the specific store participates and that your bag is all leather rather than canvas. It makes sense to ask ahead of time whether the service is running if you want personalisation or made-to-order work. Visitors to Britain should note that tax-free shopping for tourists in Great Britain was withdrawn on 1 January 2021, so there is no VAT refund to plan around. Save every receipt, because it records where a bag was bought if questions come up later. Ahead of a long trip to an outlet centre, look up current promotions, as offers are updated frequently.

  • Check the store locator on the day of travel.
  • Confirm trade-in participation and eligibility.
  • Personalisation services should be booked in advance.
  • Hold on to a receipt for each purchase.
